Mother lynx left her kittens in a sheltered place at a small beaver pond surrounded by reed thicket and went for hunting. After half an hour play, the kittens went to rest in the reed stand. Three hours later lynx mother reunited with them.
If we estimate with our quite large video-materials, what lynx kittens do, when their mother went for getting food, it appears that they are predominantly quiet – 81% of the time. That means they sleep or groom. Respectively, 19% of that time they play with each other.
